Campaigners climbed a tree in County Durham today as part of an ongoing protest.
They're calling on the Government not to let new open-cast coal mining projects go ahead.
Residents from County Durham and the Coal Action Network campaign have previously written to Communities Secretary Sajid Javid, urging him to revoke planning permission for a surface coal mine at Dipton.
Banks Group, which has permission to mine there, says the Government predicts that coal "will continue to be an important part of the UK's energy mix until at least 2025, and substantial amounts are also essential for a wide variety of important industrial processes."

You're probably aware that it's been snowing today. This is set to continue over night and into tomorrow.
The Met Office currently has a yellow warning of snow in place, this will remain until 23:55 tonight.
An amber warning for snow, external will be issued at 06:00 tomorrow, meaning heavier and more frequent showers are expected, and will remain in place until 18:00 on Thursday.
There are warnings of travel disruptions and power cuts.
Be sure to check what the roads are like - and keep up to date with the weather.

Sessions are being run in Middlesbrough to support apprentices who have been affected by the collapse of construction firm Carillion.
The National Careers Service, who are running the sessions, will offer CV guidance and general career support.
Middlesbrough Central Library will host the first session tomorrow at 09:30 - 12:00. A second session will run from 13:30 - 15:30.

Drivers should have warm clothes, sturdy shoes and food and drink in their cars in case they get stuck in the snow, Cleveland Police are warning.
The force said it is braced for an even colder day tomorrow and urged people to only travel if necessary.
Temporary Supt Sharon Cooney also urged people to keep their mobile phones changed and have the phone numbers of breakdown or recovery services saved.
She said: “Be prepared for prolonged delay and, in the worst case, stranding."

Darlington Borough Council will commit an extra £500,000 into community safety measures after a survey found residents have been left feeling "extremely concerned" by a spate of crimes in the town.
Councillor Heather Scott, who represents the Park West Ward, said business owners are concerned as well.

A woman has been sexually assaulted on a Megabus as it travelled through Newcastle.
Details of the incident, which occurred at about 04:30 on 8 December, have just been released.
The 31-year-old had boarded at London's Victoria Station the evening before, bound for Edinburgh.
Police say an Asian male sat next to her, before trying to kiss her and touching her inappropriately.
He moved seats as the coach pulled into Newcastle, and they both departed the vehicle in Edinburgh.

Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey suffered a knee injury at the weekend.
The 26-year-old picked up the injury during the 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth.
The club say he will be further assessed and scanned this week.
Shelvey has appeared 23 times this season, scoring once.
