Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio NewcastleNotts have got their tails up and have taken two wickets in the first 40 minutes this morning. Durham are bogged down and could be heading for a heavy defeat unless someone can put a partnership together.
Ollie Robinson was the first to fall, edging Dillon Pennington to Lyndon James at first slip. He was on seven at the time and James' team-mates gave him a big pat on the back after he'd shelled two previous chances!
Pennington then got Will Rhodes lbw for two. He's had a debut to forget. He was out for 10 in the first innings and his bowling was expensive too, 2-88 in just 15 overs.
The bowling has been razor sharp today though and the batsmen are struggling.
Although Colin Ackermann has reached his second 50 of the game, who is going to hang around with him and dig Durham out of bother? It's also taken 53 minutes for the first boundary of the day.

BBC Radio NewcastleIt could be an exciting day at Trent Bridge, particularly if Notts take two or three early wickets. If that happens they will be in a great position to press for the win.
Durham need some big partnerships to take this one into late afternoon. There was a bit of variable bounce last night, with one or two deliveries shooting along the floor. The batsmen will have to be careful because of that.
But it is also a quick-scoring ground with a tiny boundary on one side. And if Durham get off to a decent start with the bat that deficit will be gone in no time.
To save the game they basicaly need to bat past tea. Partnerships are key, but so too will be the bowling of the likes of Fergus O'Neill, who has taken seven wickets in the game so far, and Farhan Ahmed, the 17-year-old spinner who may be able to get some turn on a worn track.

BBC Radio NewcastleWe're into the final few overs of day three at Trent Bridge and Notts are in a good position to push for a win tomorrow.
After a wobbly start Durham recovered for a period but have now just lost Ben McKinney for 37. He was caught by keeper Joe Clarke off the bowling of Josh Tongue.
It came an over after Tongue thought he had the batsman caught at first slip, only to see Lyndon James put him down.
Earlier they were 29-2 when Fergus O'Neill had Alex Lees lbw and then bowled Emilio Gay two balls later, to leave him with a pair.
Colin Ackermann then joined McKinney in the middle and the two added 71 runs in 15 overs before the latter was out.

15:56 BST 6 AprilNotts 552-9 v Durham 378
Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio NewcastleI said earlier Lyndon James averaged 92 against Durham going into this innings. It was actually 96 and it's heading upwards because he's got another century against them today.
He has five centuries in first-class cricket and three are against Durham. He brought it up with his 14th four and followed that with a six into the Bridgford Road stand.
Notts are in a real position of strength here but because they are nine down, tea is delayed.
However with a 49-yard boundary on the Bridgford Road side of the ground a lead of 172, on a very good batting track, may not be that big.

BBC Radio NewcastleJosh Tongue has made 50 on his long-overdue Notts debut.
He agreed to join them at the end of 2023 but then got injured on England duty and missed last season. He's played some nice cover drives and got there in 81 balls, with eight fours.
Durham are struggling to make any inroads with the ball this afternoon, after Matthew Potts took two in two earlier in the session.
Tongue has also put on 91 for the ninth wicket with Lyndon James, who averaged 92 against Durham when he entered the field earlier today. He now has 91.

BBC Radio NewcastleI said this morning that there are plenty of runs to be had here and Notts continue to make steady progress and have almost wiped out Durham's lead.
Matthew Montgomery was dropped in the slips last night on four and now has 38 from 98 deliveries. Lyndon James, who really enjoys batting against Durham, is on 30 from 36 balls.
Only one wicket has fallen today, that of night-watchman Farhan Ahmed, who was caught in the slips on 17.
At this rate Notts will be start to build a lead this afternoon.
