Ibrahim has faced 139 balls for his 32. He's been tanacious and it's a great learning process for the 20-year-old. John Simpson has 25 from 63.

But, crucially, no wickets have fallen on day four so far.

It was a disappointing day yesterday, with four stoppages in the afternoon caused by a mix of rain and bad light. In all 34 overs were lost.

So, the game has not had the opportunity to progress the way we were hoping it would, particularly after nine wickets fell in 33 overs from Monday night to Tuesday lunchtime.

If we are to see anything other than a draw, then Sussex are going to have to come out and play some attacking shots this morning to try to set up some kind of run chase later. Or Durham's bowlers are really going to have to be on the money from the off.
