It's been a long time since Durham last won a Championship game. That was here in May against Notts.
Today they are heading for their fifth defeat of the season - and third at home - as Surrey look set to join Warwickshire and Somerset - the previous winners here.
Judging by the way things are going in Scarborough - and the bonus points picked up in that game - Durham look set to swap second bottom spot with Yorkshire.
Unless there is a sudden rattle of wickets, or a load of rain here, Surrey should wrap this up inside three days. They need another 112 and have 31 overs in which to get them.
Durham haven't just suddenly found themselves in relegation trouble. It's been a long road to this point. Their final three games in September are away to Essex, at home to Worcestershire and away to Yorkshire. There will be a huge amount riding on those results!
The 28-year-old striker continues to be pushing for a transfer away from west London amid strong interest from Newcastle.

Durham's resistance lasted until 14:30 BST on the third day in CLS.
Surrey are now batting and need 176 runs to win.
There are 46 overs left in which they can try to get them today, otherwise they will have to come back tomorrow.
Sai Kishore did the damage with the ball as he took 5-72, to gain his first Surrey five-for.
It goes without saying Durham need quick wickets here. But if they lose it's likely they will end this round of games in the bottom two. And their next championship match is at Chelmsford, where they have only won once, in 1993!
