16:10 BST 2 JulyDurham 198-0, trail Surrey by 273

BBC Radio NewcastleThis game will be put out of its misery in an hour. The Surrey players look thoroughly fed-up in the field, just like the Durham players did on the first two days.
There have been 29 centuries across the country in this round of games, which the statistician Andrew Samson says is a new county record. And it's all because of the ball.
I may have said this before, but I am going to say it again. I hope we never see this Kookaburra experiment again. Bin it! After this year because it is doing nothing to help the County Championship.
PS, Alex Lees and Emilio Gay have done well today and taken the opening stand to 198. Gay's century was that 29th.

12:40 BST 2 JulySurrey 820-9 dec v Durham 362 & 0-0
Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio NewcastleYou have to hand it to Ben Raine. Batting on one leg last night and this morning, he's helped his side eat up vital time in their bid for survival.
It also means Surrey only have one new ball to hand today as Durham try to see out the 70 remaining overs to draw the game.
Raine was eventually out lbw for 19 as Durham were dismissed for 362. The deficit is a huge 458 runs.
The lights are on and it is gloomy at the Kia Oval. These are by far the best bowling conditions of the entire match.
First up, a tricky 23 minutes to lunch.

11:00 BST 2 JulySurrey 820-9 dec v Durham 343-9
Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio NewcastleThe weather is absolutely perfect at the Kia Oval - if you like rain!
From a personal point of view the temperature has dropped to a perfect level following the boiling temperatures of the last few days. The rain is set to pass by within the next hour, but the covers are on at the moment and we will have a delayed start.
Durham are 343-9 and managed to see out the final few overs last night with the injured Ben Raine hobbling around on one foot in the middle.
He's set for quite a few weeks on the sidelines after injuring his ankle on day one and it may be prudent for them to declare their first innings, while still trailing by 477 runs, rather than expose him to more risk.
When they do get back on Durham have to bat out the day to save the game. That is the only thing they have to concern themselves with today.
