Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio NewcastleIt's been a tough first hour for Durham, with runs hard to come by in overcast and humid conditions in CLS.
Ollie Robinson has kept things really tight from the Lumley End, while Gurinder Sandhu and Jofra Archer have added to the pressure from the Finchale End.
One wicket has fallen. Graham Clark was caught behind for 51 off Robinson, trying to hook a short ball. He added only five to his overnight score.
His replacement George Drissell has been watchful. It took him 20 balls to get off the mark, just as it did for James Coles in the Sussex first innings. He went on to make 148* though.

BBC Radio NewcastleDurham lost the services of Colin Ackermann to the final delivery of the day yesterday, as he got an inside edge from Gurinder Sandhu, onto his off-stump. He was out for 65, having added 76 for the fifth wicket with Graham Clark.
Clark resumed on 46 today and has now reached 50 for the 23rd time in his first-class career.
A no ball from Sandhu also brought up the 250 for Durham and a first batting poiint.
It's humid in CLS but the wind has at least dropped. It feels really muggy under grey skies. One weather app suggests we could see some showers today, while a rival says we won't. How can it be? Someone make it make sense!
