An outbreak of bird flu has been confirmed in poultry in Northumberland.
The highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 strain was confirmed yesterday at premises near Holy Island.
The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs says a 1.8 mile (3km) protection zone and 6.2 mile (10km) surveillance area have been declared around the infected site.
