    Hampshire 362-6 trail by 149

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

They have already bowled 119 overs, so the idea Durham would have enforced the follow-on was nothing but fanciful.

However, Ben Brown and Felix Organ have made sure it wasn't an option. They have put on 104 runs, Hampshire's highest seventh wicket stand against Durham.

It beats the 84 from Michael Brown and Shane Warne in CLS in 2007.

I said earlier in the day Brown enjoys playing Durham. He's now on 112, which is his second century against them, to go with another seven half centuries. Organ has 40.

It's a flat track which is certainly a good one from a batting point of view. And at the moment the only outcome I can see in this game is a draw some time tomorrow tea time.

  19. Half-century for Ben Brownpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 4 May

Hampshire 243-5 trail Durham by 268

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Ben Brown started the day with 821 runs against Durham, made up of a century and seven half-centuries.

It's now eight half-centuries after he reached 50 in 102 balls and 7x4s.

The one wicket to fall since lunch saw Liam Dawson bowled by Matty Potts on 25. Potts has taken 3-42 in 17 overs. He is bowling a really good spell and looks more than up for the task in hand. He looks quick today as well.

The follow-on target, which I am not sure would be enforced, is 362.
