  16. Match abandoned in Southamptonpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 5 May

    Result: Hampshire (470) drew with Durham (511 & 61-0)

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

This game has thankfully been put out of its misery. On a cold afternoon in Southampton, with few in the ground, the umpires have decided that's that.

It's a mirror image of the draw here last year. That was a game heading nowhere, which also came to a premature ending because of a bit of wet weather.

Hampshire remain unbeaten this season and take 12 points from the encounter and Durham are now unbeaten in three and take 13 points, as they head into a week off.

  19. Brown falls short of career highpublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 5 May

    Hampshire 468-9 v Durham 511

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Ben Brown has fallen just short of a career-best score today. He's just been bowled leg stump by Codi Yusuf for 162. He faced 275 balls.

His best score was 165* in a win against Surrey last year. He also made 163* for Sussex against Durham in 2014.

Hampshire now have the last pair at the crease and Durham will hope to be batting again in the not too distant future.

The track remains as flat as a road and Durham's bowlers have so far sent down 153 overs.
