Harrogate Rugby Union club has named Yorkshire Carnegie winger David Doherty as their new director of rugby.
He takes over from Mike Aspinall, who is stepping down at the end of the season.
After a successful career as a player, Doherty says he's really thrilled about the role.
Quote MessageI'm looking forward to getting on to the field with the boys. I went to watch the game against Otley and was really excited by what I saw. Hopefully I can bring some different eyes, put a different spin on it and hopefully the boys will enjoy it."

The roads are mostly fine at the moment in North Yorkshire, but If you're travelling east of Selby you need to be aware that the A614 in Howden is closed in both directions between the A614 Thorpe Road junction and the Portington Road junction, because of subsidence and emergency repairs.
