It's a rather cloudy day across the county, and while one or two showers can't be ruled out, some places should remain dry.

A few brighter spells are also possible at times though but it will feel cool in the moderate easterly breeze.

The rest of the roads across the county seem to be running well at the moment.

    BBC Local Live, York

I'll be with you until 14:30 with all the latest news, sport, weather and travel from across North Yorkshire.

We're starting with two wonderful BBC Weather Watcher pics today, simply because, after 10 minutes of trying to decide between what Springtime Lady described as her  "almost unworldly" pic of York and the tropical Whitby shot taken by Dulwich Stevo, I was still staring at the screen.

So double the beauty to begin the day with!
