    Green Party growth spurt

    Political commentator Chris Donnelly says South Belfast is becoming more diverse with Clare Bailey from the Green Party looking like she could win a seat at the expense of the SDLP or Alliance.

    In west Belfast, Sinn Fein might be perceived as being complacent locally, he said, and the message for the SDLP seems to be they are increasingly being thought of as an irrelevancy.

    Wells 'furious' over snub to wife

    DUP's Jim Wells says he is "furious" that his wife Grace was refused entry to the count centre. He says her decision to attend was "last minute" as he didn't know if she would be well enough to attend. Mr Wells says he pleaded with the electoral office to allow her in but was refused.
