    Alex Attwood has won the West Belfast count by 89 votes. It was 'right up to the wire' against the DUP's Frank McCoubrey.

    About six constituencies have finished counting for the night and five - Mid Ulster, South Down, Lagan Valley, Strangford and South Antrim - are done entirely.

    'Attwood needs 38 votes ... I can't see it'

    Political commentator Dawn Purvis says it's very unlikely that Alex Attwood, SDLP, will get the 38 votes that he needs for a seat in west Belfast.

    Storey says DUP will secure a 'good result'

    DUP's Mervyn Storey says he thinks the DUP will secure a "good result" in North Antrim. 

    "There are challenges in every election and you can't take anything for granted, but I was very encouraged by the response I got when out canvassing at the doors," he says.
