Patrick Nelson, chief executive of the Irish FA, says the "thoughts of the association" are with the friends and family of Darren Rodgers, after his death in Nice in the early hours of this morning.
"On behalf of the board, management, players and staff of the Irish Football Association, I would like to express my deep sadness at the tragic death of a Northern Ireland supporter in Nice in the early hours of this morning," he said,

It's a sadder morning for us today after the news that a Northern Ireland fan has died in an accident in Nice.

Darren Rodgers, 24, from Ballymena, fell from the city's promenade onto a rocky beach. First Minister Arlene Foster, who was in Nice for Northern Ireland's opening game yesterday, described the death as "tremendously sad".
