Now things have quietened down, SDLP councillor John Tierney has the time to chin wag with DUP MP Gregory Campbell.
Despite the respite, both will be hoping for a little more action. The SDLP's Mark H Durkan and the DUP's Gary Middleton are still waiting eagerly to see if they've made the cut.

NI Assembly election
Fionnuala O'Connor, Stephan Grimason, Caitríona Ruane and Alex Kane are assessing the results on BBC One NI.
Fionnuala O'Connor says Arlene Foster has done a double, she has brought her own vote AND the Sinn Féin vote up.
SDLP leader Colum Eastwood tells BBC Radio Ulster that his party has held its own but admitted it was not enough to stand still.
He said the party was part of the "squeezed middle" in an "polarised political system", and it did not have time to implement its five-year plan for opposition.
NI Assembly election
Our political editor Mark Devenport believes the DUP will be relieved this evening. However, he thinks the UUP leader, Mike Nesbitt, will be under pressure.
Sinn Féin will be the happiest party today, he says.
DUP MP Sir Jeffrey Donaldson is at the Lagan Valley count, where his party colleague Paul Givan topped the poll.
He told BBC Radio Ulster that his party had "held up well" but taken a bit of a hit in terms of percentage.
He denied that the energy scandal was to blame, saying Sinn Féin collapsed the institutions to force an election because the party wanted to "reset the political landscape" because it was disappointed with the outcome last year.
He was adamant Arlene Foster would be leading the DUP into the post-election negotiations.
