    East Londonderry

The SDLP's John Dallat really is closing in on Cathal Ó hÓisín of Sinn Féin. There are now just 59 votes between them, with DUP candidate Adrian McQuillan about to be eliminated.

    Cathal Ó hÓisín

It might all come down to Claire Sugden's transfers, which could be SDLP friendly, says our man in Foyle.

  5. 'Put people first', says Sugdenpublished at 22:11 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2017

    East Londonderry

Former justice minister Clare Sugden, who kept her seat in East Londonderry, says the executive parties should've been able to find a compromise to difficulties without requiring an election.

Before the energy scandal, Sinn Féin and the DUP were working together, she adds.

She says her job has always been to "put people first".

    North Antrim

UUP's Robin Swann, who retained his seat, says he ran an old-fashioned campaign, and was out and about talking to people.

    Robin Swann

He's disappointed to see Mike Nesbitt go as party leader but his resignation shows the "quality of the man".

"He's a man of his word," he adds.

A decent result in an election which seemed perfectly timed to allow the UUP to claw back some lost ground to the DUP, might've saved the day.

  10. Mark Durkan: 'The RHI tide overtook us'published at 22:04 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2017

    Foyle

SDLP MP Mark Durkan says he accepts that Sinn Féin have had "a very good election" at the party's spiritual constituency.

    Mark Durkan

"We have taken dips before in Derry and then recovered in the following election but the fact is that even with increasing our vote tally, we didn't increase our vote share. Sinn Féin rode the wave of anger over RHI and Arlene Foster very well and that tide basically overtook us," he said.
