Trident debate tomorrow?published at 10:39
Hot news from the conference arrangements committee: The list of policies proposed for debate by local Labour parties and the unions has been published.
They are Austerity and Public Services, Britain's Defence Capability (ie Trident), Employment Rights, Europe, Housing, the BBC Licence Fee, Mental Health, NHS, Rail, Refugee Crisis, Social Security and Syria.
Labour members will select the eight issues that will be debated on the conference floor in a vote. The results will be announced at the close of today's business.
The chances are Trident will be one of them and it will be debated tomorrow, which is earmarked for foreign affairs, but we won't know until tomorrow morning if it has got a slot.
Journalists used to cheerfully ignore this stuff because it rarely had any impact on the Labour manifesto - but that has all changed under the new leader.
