More on the question of the "old" Richard Heller passage in the speech:

    Quote Message

It's not copying anybody's homework. All of us research things. All of us resource things. All of us learn from each other. Is that such a bad thing? If someone says something good and interesting and you understand and agree with it and use it as part of a persuasive argument - I think that's adult politics."

    Jeremy Corbyn

Asked about the passage in his speech which, it has emerged, came from a blog by speechwriter Richard Heller, Mr Cobyrn said:

    Quote Message

There were 5,000 words or more in my speech. There were 350 words sent to me by Richard Heller. I have known him for many years. I quite liked those words, I liked the way he put them... it was a message I wanted to put forward. It's quite disappointing really that some people are obsessed almost with these 350 words - there were quite a lot of other words in the speech."
