    Sir Hugh Orde

Sir Hugh Orde, former chairman of the Association of Chief Police Officers, talks of the benefits of the European Arrest Warrant, which aims to speed up extradition processes between member states. Without it, he says, we would be left with a "complex, massively expensive, bureaucratic model".

  7. Quitters?published at 11:32

In extracts released ahead of the launch event Lord Rose was due to include a sequence calling those in favour of leaving the EU "quitters". However in his speech he avoided using that word: So, the pre-released script:

    Quote Message

The quitters have no idea whether we would be able to access Europe's free trade area, or what the price of admission would be."

    Became:

    Quote Message

They have no idea whether we would be able to access Europe's free trade area, or what the price of admission would be."

  8. 'Generational choice'published at 11:27

Stephanie Flanders, the BBC's former economics editor who now works for JP Morgan Asset Management, says there are some important issues to debate around Europe, but adds:

    Quote Message

This is not the time to prejudge them all and make a generational choice to leave, no matter what."

West Ham vice chairman and Apprentice star Karen Brady, part of a panel giving their views at the launch event, says being a member of the EU is "hugely valuable" for businesses because they are able to trade in Europe without barriers or tariffs.

    Lord Rose

The former Marks and Spencer chief, who is chairing the campaign, is on stage. He wants the "In" movement to "reach out to every corner of the United Kingdom". He says he does not think the EU is perfect, but says families are better off inside. It also "gives Britain clout, that we would simply not have on our own" he adds.

    Lord RoseImage source, PA

Staying in the EU can be the "patriotic course for Britain", former M&S boss Lord Rose will say as he launches the campaign for the UK to remain a member.

Lord Rose, chairman of the Britain Stronger in Europe, external group, will say leaving is "not worth the risk" and call those wanting to leave "quitters".

The EU referendum is due to be held before the end of 2017.

A rival, Eurosceptic, campaign launched on Friday with the message "vote leave, take control".

One of its supporters, Conservative MP Steve Baker, told BBC Radio 5Live leaving the EU was "the safer choice" as it would allow the UK to "take back power".

The Britain Stronger in Europe board will include former chief of the general staff Sir Peter Wall, West Ham United vice-chairwoman Baroness Brady and television presenter June Sarpong.
