    Jeremy Hunt made his remarks in a debate called by Labour to focus on the changes to junior doctor contracts, which are due to be made by government.

    He said the new contract was "about patient care and not saving money".

    The British Medical Association said Mr Hunt had "finally made a significant shift" but said it wanted more details.

    Collapsed charity Kids Company received at least £46m of public money despite repeated concerns about how it was run, the National Audit Office has found.

    The charity repeatedly asked for government money and warned of closures if officials resisted, the NAO said, external.

    Concerns about the charity's cash flow and financial sustainability were raised as far back as 2002, it found.

    Former bosses at the charity, which helped vulnerable young people, deny it was financially mismanaged.

    Two European leaders have told the BBC that the UK is yet to reveal any details about what it wants to achieve in a renegotiation with the EU.

    Estonia and Finland's leaders say David Cameron has so far failed to provide concrete proposals.

    But Mr Cameron, who is in Iceland for a meeting of northern European leaders, said discussions were "going well".

    The prime minister wants to renegotiate the UK's relationship with the EU ahead of an in/out referendum on membership.

    The head of MI5 has said he is hoping for a mature debate on intercepting communications data, rather than accusations of mass surveillance.

    Andrew Parker said the service was not seeking "sweeping new intrusive powers" but rather a framework that "reflects the way that technology has moved on".

    He also said the scale of the terrorist threat in the UK was at a level he had not seen in his 32-year career.

    A draft bill updating state surveillance powers is due next week.
