The CETA deal has faced stiff opposition in Europe, much like the similar TTIP free trade agreement with the US.
Progress on ratifying CETA is currently stalled after a Belgian parliament in French-speaking Wallonia vetoed it.

There will be an urgent question in the Commons - which a government minister will have to answer - at 15:30 BST on the child abuse inquiry
This follows the resignation of its chairman Justice Goddard and controversy over whether ministers were aware of the concerns over her handling of the inquiry.
The question is from the Labour MP Lisa Nandy.
It questions "the remit, the organisation, the budget and staffing of the inquiry".
It's not yet clear whether the home secretary will answer for the government.

Parliament will be debating in its Westminster Hall chamber a selection of E-petitions relating to the UK's decision to leave the EU from 16:30 BST.
One of them, E-petition 123324, external, calls for June 23rd to be designated an annual 'independence day' holiday, in honour of this year's EU referendum.
It received 21,292 signatures.
The government already published a response to the petition, saying: "There are no current plans to create another public holiday.
"Whilst an additional bank holiday may benefit some sectors, the cost to the economy of an additional bank holiday remains considerable."
Conservative MP Paul Scully, a member of the Petitions Committee, will open the debate.

According to the front page article, leaders in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have warned of "economic disaster" if no action is taken to ensure the effects of Brexit are mitigated.
