Loud cheers as Ronnie Campbell, who has had a lengthy spell in hospital, asks a question with John Bercow "welcoming back to the house".

He quips that he is "looking pretty slim" and he received absolutely wonderful service. But he says there is a flipside and there are now nurses who are known as "corridor nurses" because they are caring for patients there.

"Get your purse out and give them want they want," he urges.

Mrs May commends all those who have helped treat her fellow MP and says this just one example of the professionalism and dedication of NHS staff.

  4. PM: 21 weeks for a hip operation in Labour-run Walespublished at 12:38 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2017

    Reality Check
    Jack Evans

Prime Minister Theresa May has said patients in Wales have to wait 21 weeks for a hip operation.

Directly comparable figures show the biggest waiting time gap between England and Wales was in the wait for hip operations, up by a fifth in 2015-16. The average wait for hip operations in England was 76 days while in Wales it was 226 days. There is minimal or no differences in the waits for the diagnosis of cancer and head injuries. Whilst  waiting times for heart bypasses and kidney transplants are better in Wales.

You can find out more about the differences in Health care throughout the UK here. None of the four nations is achieving any of its three key targets for A&E, cancer or routine treatments, such as knee and hip replacements.

    House of Commons
    Parliament

There have now been several Brexit questions.

Conservative James Morris says the PM has been "crystal clear" in her Brexit negotiating objectives - a statement which gets wry cheers from certain sections of the House - but says areas like the West Midlands "need a voice" in the upcoming negotiations.

Mrs May say the government will take account of all parts of the UK when determining the terms of the UK's exit and its future relations with the EU.

    House of Commons
    Parliament

The PM is now asked by Gavin Newlands about a vote in Russia's lower house of Parliament effectively decriminalising domestic violence.

Mrs May says it is a "retograde" step by the Russian government and, in contrast, the UK has strengthened the law and sanctions for domestic violence.

  12. PM: Brexit will strengthen animal welfarepublished at 12:30 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2017

    House of Commons
    Parliament

We are now into a succession of backbench questions, including from Jake Berry on housing and Patrick Grady on the time allotted to debate on the EU.

Ex-Northern Ireland Secretary Theresa Villiers then asks about support for farmers after the UK's exit from the EU, saying Brexit is an opportunity to "safeguard not weaken" animal welfare rules.

Mrs May says it is an issue of concern to many and the UK has one of the highest standards of welfare and Brexit will not change this.

    House of Commons
    Parliament

The leaders' exchanges are over and it is now over to Angus Robertson, the SNP's leader in Westminster.

He notes the Scottish Parliament's "overwhelming" vote opposing Brexit and asks the PM whether she is prepared to agree to a negotiated settlement and consult the Scottish government or will she press ahead regardless.

Mrs May says that when she negotiates the terms of exit, she will be negotiating on behalf of the whole of the UK.

But Mr Robertson says there is "no UK-wide agreed approach" and Mrs May must "keep her word" to the Scottish people.

In response, the PM says she is "working closely" with her Scottish counterparts.

  17. May must 'come clean' on social care fundingpublished at 12:23 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2017

    House of Commons
    Parliament

The noise levels rise and Speaker Bercow has to intervene, urging Labour's Steve Rotheram to calm down.

The Labour leader says Mrs May should "come clean" about what deal has been offered to Surrey County Council and provide all local authorities with the funds they need to give elderly people the dignity they deserve in their final years.

But the PM says that the Labour leader "consistently stands up and asks for more spending" and a Labour government would bankrupt Britain.

"What he fails to recognise is that you can only spend money on social care and the NHS if you have a strong economy".

  18. May accuses Corbyn of peddling 'alternative facts'published at 12:21 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2017

    House of Commons
    Parliament

Theresa May at PMQsImage source, HoC

Theresa May says that all councils were given the chance to increase their council tax by an extra 3% to pay for social care.

She says the Labour leader is making all sorts of claims about documents and deals, joking that he is coming up with "alternative facts when what Labour needs is an alternative leader".

  19. Corbyn: Did Surrey get 'sweatheart deal'published at 12:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2017

    House of Commons
    Parliament

Mr Corbyn warms to this theme suggesting that Surrey Council has been offered a "sweetheart deal" to call off its planned referendum on a 15% council tax rise. He wonders whether this has anything to do with the fact the heath secretary Jeremy Hunt represents a Surrey seat.

He refers to what he says was a text between Surrey County Council and the government aide 'Nick' in which it is suggested there are references to a package required "to kill off the R"...

Mr Corbyn says he has read a lot of John Le Carre spy fiction and that he believes that the R in question must refer to the referendum.

  20. Corbyn presses on Surrey Council fundingpublished at 12:16 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2017

    House of Commons
    Parliament

The Labour leader raises a series of texts which he claims were sent by the head of Surrey County Council to an aide at the Department of Communities and Local Government, suggesting that they had agreed a "memorandum of understanding" and urges the PM to shed light on this.

The PM says that all councils have the option to charge a 3% supplement to pay for social care but says it is not all about money - and what social care does not need is "another one of Labour's bouncing cheques".
