Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Michael Gove is next into Number 10.

Former Conservative MP and whip Stewart Jackson has praised the outgoing-Attorney General Geoffrey Cox.

Mr Jackson is referring to Mr Cox's advice, during Theresa May's premiership, when the former attorney general told MPs the legal risk of being tied to the EU after Brexit as a result of the then-PM's withdrawal deal remained "unchanged".

The Daily Telegraph's political editor says those who have been sacked were all ministers who had stood up to the prime minister in cabinet meetings.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab and Home Secretary Priti Patel have been spotted arriving in Downing Street.

Along with Chancellor Sajid Javid they are all expected to stay in their roles.

Someone outside the gates of Downing Street is using a large speaker to blast music towards Number 10, the PA News agency says.

Tracks played so far include Fun Boy Three's The Lunatics (Have Taken Over the Asylum), and Part Of The Union by Strawbs.

A smiling Chancellor Sajid Javid has arrived in Downing Street.

He walked quickly into Number 10.

Geoffrey Cox is also gone - he says he has resigned as attorney general.

With the prime minister back in Downing Street, we should soon hear who will be returning - and new appointments - to his cabinet.
