Another week, another busy Brexity day in the House of Lords.

Having passed the bill to trigger Article 50 - the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill -  at second reading peers now move on to the committee stage.

The committee stage allows members to table, debate and vote on amendments to the bill.

Key amendments concern guaranteeing the resident rights of EU citizens, retaining membership of the single market and allowing parliament a "meaningful vote" on the final exit deal.

First, however, peers begin with oral questions which today covers the industrial strategy, school funding, defence and the rights of Iranian-born British citizens.

  8. Good afternoonpublished at 14:15 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2017

And welcome to another busy week at Westminster.

All eyes will be turned to the House of Lords today and on Wednesday, when peers debate committee stage of the Brexit bill - aka the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill. It's the bill that gives the prime minister the power to trigger Article 50 and begin the process of the UK leaving the EU.

There could be late nights tonight and Wednesday night, as peers grapple with the details of the bill.

But there's plenty going on in the Commons and on committee corridor this week too - BBC parliamentary correspondent Mark D'Arcy's blog explaining what's on this week is a good place to start .
