    The SNP's Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh says "[the prime minister] cannot object to Nicola Sturgeon sticking to her manifesto promise" to call another referendum if there is a "material change". 

    Theresa May points out that Nicola Sturgeon was elected the leader of a minority government and that Scots voted "decisively" to remain in the EU.

    Conservative MP Tim Loughton asks whether the PM will reject the European Court ruling that employers can ban their staff from wearing signs of political or religious belief.

    It relates to a ruling from the European Court of Justice that allows companies to ban staff from wearing visible religious symbols , external .

    The prime minister says the UK has a strong tradition of freedom of expression, and there is no intention of legislation on the issue. 

    "It is sometimes right to ask for the veil to be removed," she says - such as at borders or in court. But she says women have the right to wear what they want.

    Labour's Stephen Doughty asks whether "it's a price worth paying" on the approach she is taking to Brexit - which he calls "reckless" - to risk the break-up of the United Kingdom.

    The prime minister says she does not want to rip the UK from the single market. "We want to ensure we get a good free trade agreement, which gives us the maximum possible access to the single market, to enable us to trade with the single market," Theresa May tells MPs.
