    Jeremy Corbyn claims that the Grenfell Tower tragedy is a result of austerity.

    "We all pay a price," says Jeremy Corbyn, "when you cut local authority budgets by 40%".

    "What the tragedy of Grenfell Tower has exposed is the disastrous effects of austerity," he says.

    He accuses Mrs May of "disregard" for working class people.

    Mrs May says "the cladding of tower blocks began" not under the current government or the previous coalition government, but, she says, "under the Blair government". She highlights deregulation that took place under governments of all colours.

    Mrs May says the cladding was "not compliant with fire regulations" but cannot say more because of the police investigation.
