SNP Westminster Leader Ian Blackford notes that in 2013 then chancellor George Osborne said he approved the departure of the RBS chief executive.

He argues that if the government can intervene on this issue why can't it intervene on bank branch closures.

"Show some leadership," he says "and stop bank closures."

These delays risk lives, he says. He asks for a "cast iron pledge" that waiting time targets will be met in 2018.

Theresa May says the government does want to improve the standard of care.

Labour MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan has the first question and she asks the prime minister about child poverty.

She says in her constituency families are surviving on foodbanks and 2,500 children will wake up homeless on Christmas Day. When will there be an end to austerity? she asks.

The government has lifted hundreds of thousands of children out of absolute poverty, the prime minister says.

But she says 2,500 children will not be sleeping on the streets on Wandsworth. "It does not mean that," she says.

Families with children will be provided with accommodation, she says, and homelessness is lower than it was in the last government.
