The Commons begins its busy day, with Tory MP Nigel Huddleston asking a question regarding veterans' access to support services.
Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson says new schemes and initiatives designed to support serving personnel and their families throughout their military careers and beyond have been announced.
Mr Huddleston says more can be done in the cooperation of the government and local authorities in arranging provisions for veterans.
Gavin Williamson says Mr Huddleston is right that more communication is needed, and this is something the government are prioritising as "local authorities provide many key areas of support for veterans including housing".
Shadow defence minister Gerald Jones urges the chancellor not to make any further cuts to local authorities in the budget next week as "this is leaving many veterans without the aid they are entitled to."
Gavin Williamson says the new schemes are helping veterans to access the correct type of aid and assistance they need when in or having left military service.
