    The chancellor says that assuming a Brexit deal is agreed and uncertainty lifted, he will launch a "full three-year spending review" in the summer to report back in the autumn.

    Philip Hammond says this will set departmental budgets beyond the NHS.

    Last to ask a question is Tory MP Alberto Costa, who quit his government job to table an amendment calling for citizens' rights to be protected in the event of no-deal.

    He asks what the prime minister has "personally done" to support the idea that citizens' rights should be protected if an agreement is not found.

    Theresa May replies that she has spoken to a number of EU leaders about the UK's desire to protect people in the event of a no-deal exit.

    The UK will make sure any offers for UK citizens in Europe are reciprocal to British protections for EU citizens, she adds.

    Conservative Mark Francois asks if there will be a free vote on amendment f that seeks to facilitate the "Malthouse Compromise".

    He also wants to know if prime minister will vote for the amendment.

    The amendment he refers to sets out the process for a "managed no-deal.

    Theresa May replies that the key parts of the Malthouse Compromise are already in the deal she reached with the EU - including committing to finding alternative arrangements to the Northern Ireland backstop.

    Chancellor Philip Hammond is delivering his half-yearly budget update to the House of Commons.

    As part of his Spring Statement, he's expected to say tax receipts are stronger than expected but spending is limited by the uncertainty around Brexit.

    The prime minister's spokesman said Mr Hammond would set out measures to support an open and competitive economy.

    The Irish foreign minister Simon Coveney says the Dublin government is looking at the UK's no-deal tariff plans "in detail" today.

    "Undoubtedly any tariff being imposed on agricultural product between the UK and Ireland will be very damaging and we will need to respond to that appropriately," he says.

    There was no proxy vote on the PM's deal for Mr Ross who made the dash to Scotland when his wife went into labour on Tuesday - he should have applied for it the day before, apparently.

    He says he has no regrets that he was at his wife's side at the birth, and has been considering his proxy votes today.
