Justice minister Rory Stewart says it is "heartbreaking" that it appears the agreement will not pass tonight.

He says that a lot of talk over World Trade Organization terms is "completely misleading".

He argues that what Theresa May has negotiated and what Jeremy Corbyn wants for Brexit are "very very similar".

"The deal is really the only solution", as a second referendum would be "deeply divisive".

"Everything except for this deal is worse," he adds.

    Steve DoubleImage source, HoC

Conservative MP Steve Double says he still hasn't decided which way to vote tonight as "it is between two wrongs, two things I don't want to happen".

He describes the revised deal as "a turd of a deal which is now a polished turd", however adds that, "It might be the best turd we've got."

The choice tonight is "impossible", he says, but calls on MPs to commit to keeping their word to the British people and to ensure the UK leaves the EU at the end of the month.

  3. 'This is the hardest Brexit you're going to get'published at 18:43 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2019

    BBC News Channel

The Financial Times's Sebastian Payne says there aren't enough MPs switching sides to get the withdrawal agreement passed tonight.

He adds that "this is the hardest Brexit you're going to get" from the EU, and he says some MPs are still unaware that by rejecting this, they may ensure Brexit does not happen at all.

Meanwhile, Dia Chakravarty, Brexit editor for The Telegraph, says the ERG see the deal as a "trap". They are also concerned at the level of control the European Courts of Justice would continue to have over the UK, she adds.

    Nick HerbertImage source, HoC

Conservative MP Nick Herbert says "if anyone is clinging to the idea there will be no deal if this deal is voted down, they should forget it.

"It is about to be taken off the table - Brexit will be diluted, seriously delayed or dropped altogether," he says.

Mr Herbert says the deal on the table is "a pragmatic deal" and that MPs "must compromise".

He adds that this is "the sensible course to take", and that if MPs really want to deliver Brexit then they should support Theresa May's deal.

  17. Pembroke Dock: Brexit's Frontlinepublished at 17:58 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2019

The people of Pembroke Dock wait to find out how Brexit will effect their small town. The West Wales community has always been dependent on its port which acts as a link between Britain and Ireland.

In some scenarios, Irish hauliers have threatened they could bypass Wales altogether so how will Britain's departure from the EU effect this small town's trade and business? What does the town's future have in store?

  19. May's former adviser foresees another 'epic' defeatpublished at 17:57 Greenwich Mean Time 12 March 2019

    BBC News Channel

Joey Jones, former adviser to Theresa May

Joey Jones, former adviser to Theresa May, says the size of the government's defeat in the vote tonight could be "another epic number".

He says if there is a defeat, then "it means that the strategy - if you can call it a strategy, at least the way in which Theresa May has managed the past few months, which is to just to keep grinding on - will have come to the end of the road.

"It just beggars belief that the only card that she's really had to play is the idea of the jeopardy of no deal and the cliff edge."

He adds: "I don't think that if she keeps having meaningful vote three, four, five or whatever, that that would do anything other than harden the kernel - well it's more than a kernel - of resistance against her."
