  1. Your views: 'Can’t believe they could not let cycles and motor bikes cross'published at 10:42

Have you been affected by the Forth Road Bridge closure?

Can’t believe they could not let cycles and motor bikes cross. Yes I know wind issue. Should have actioned that tunnel last century.

    James, Fife

I am working from home for the second day in a row today, so I am one of the lucky ones. But I can not keep working from home. I would like to know what contingency plans have been put in place for such a scenario? To anyone who travels over the Forth river by Train, Bike or Car it is obvious that the transport situation on a normal day during peak times is at capacity, so what contingency plans have been put in place in case either the rail or road bridge had problems? At the very least I would expect shuttle trains to be going back and forth from Inverkeithing to Dalmeny every 10 mins and everything else fits in around this, coaches, special car park. “emergency” train services, extra facilities for cyclists etc. etc.

  6. I have just arrived at work at 9.30. I started my journey at 05.58published at 09:57

    Your views

I have just arrived at work at 9-30. I started my journey at 05.58 to Ferry Toll park and ride, where I join the x 59 express bus to Edinburgh. I knew the bridge was shut but I expected as per normal when there is bridge closures to go via Kincardine vis through culross. But lo and behold I was told the bus was firstly going to go to back to Dunfermline and then onto Edinburgh via Kincardine ( estimated 40 minutes extra ). When I arrived at Dunfermline bus station there were hundreds of stranded passengers looking for guidance from some stagecoach marshall, but there wasn't anyone.
