“I had a little tear in my eye when I saw the O2,” says one of the officials on the red carpet at the Brits. For many people, this is the first live event they’ve been to since last year. In fact, I found my 2020 Brits ticket in my suit as I got ready this morning. It’s shaping up to be a big night. Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, Coldplay and The Weeknd are all performing - and there’s a rumour that Taylor Swift has flown in from the US to collect her global icon award.

The red carpet kicks off at 5pm. Keep across the @BBCNewsEnts Twitter feed for life updates.
