    The first minister says businesses in the hospitality sector will be required to take names and contact details of customers.

    These will have to be stored for four weeks in case an outbreak of the virus is associated with a particular premises.

    She says non-essential retail can reopen on Monday as can workplaces in the manufacturing sector. As can outdoor playgrounds and outdoor sport courts.

    The first minister says that unless and until there is confidence it can be reduced, businesses and people must comply with the 2m distancing rule in Scotland.

    "I hope that in the period ahead we can find a viable and a safe balance."

    She tells the chamber a decision on whether to make face coverings mandatory in shops, as they are on public transport, will be taken next week.

    In the meantime, the government will join with the retail sector to promote and encourage their use.

    The first minister says if we succeed in suppressing the virus the prize is getting back to more normality.

    Ms Sturgeon pivots to schools saying blended learning remains a contingency, but the progress made so far allows the planning for a return to school full-time in August.

    She points out appropriate safety measures will have to be in place and the virus must be driven down to the lowest possible levels.

    Nicola Sturgeon says the progress made is due to people following the rules and by doing so they have saved lives.

    The first minister says each step out of lockdown depends on beating the virus back and if it spreads again these steps may need to be reversed.

    The first minister says the trends are clear and for all the risks the virus still poses, they are positive.

    Ms Sturgeon tells the chamber the R number is between 0.6 and 0.8.

    She says on 21 May the estimate was that 25,000 people in Scotland had the virus, the most recent estimate now is just 2,900 people.

    First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirms 18,191 people now have tested positive for Covid-19, an increase of nine from yesterday.

    880 patients are in hospital with a suspected or confirmed case (up 15, though there has been a drop of 23 confirmed cases), with 23 being treated in intensive care (up two).

    A further four people who tested positive have died in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 2,480 deaths in Scotland by that measure.

    This is lower than the 4,119 deaths confirmed by NRS earlier as that figure includes all cases where Covid-19 is mentioned on a death certificate, even if the patient had not been tested.

    Scotland's first minister is to give an update on the timescale for easing the country's lockdown restrictions.

    The statement by Nicola Sturgeon is expected to include dates for when some further parts of the economy can open.

    A total of 4,119 Scots deaths have been linked to Covid-19, official figures show.

    The National Records of Scotland (NRS) figures indicate 49 people died in the week ending 21 June, a decrease of 20 from the previous week. It is the eight consecutive reduction.

    The figures are higher than the daily figure announced by Nicola Sturgeon because they include all cases where Covid-19 is mentioned on a death certificate, even if the patient had not been tested.

    The number of deaths in care homes has continued to fall, wih 20 deaths in the last week. In total, 47% of all Covid deaths to date have been in care homes, compared to 46% in hospitals and 7% at home.
