Here are the headlines from a busy day at Holyrood:
That's all from us here on the live page, please take care and stay safe.
Quote MessageI think this should be a wake up call, not just for people in Glasgow City, West Dunbartonshire and East Renfrewshire. It should be a wake up call for all of us to stick to the guidelines and stop this virus spreading any further or any faster.
Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister

The first minister was asked if schools going back are responsible for the spike in cases.
Nicola Sturgeon replies: "Schools going back are not responsible for this.
"Clearly we will see some school-age children test positive with the virus.
"By and large that has been driven by community transmission.
"Part of the reason that we have to take tough action, where necessary, to minimise community transmission is to stop that becoming a problem for schools."
She adds that only a "very small number" of school children have tested positive for the virus despite a "massive number" of tests.
Ms Sturgeon says preventative action now is designed to keep schools open and businesses operating.
The restrictions in the west of Scotland will affect more than 800,000 people.
This includes 633,120 people in Glasgow, 95,530 in East Renfrewshire and a further 88,930 in West Dunbartonshire.
The daily incidence rate of Covid-19 in West Dunbartonshire is almost 33 new cases per 100,000 people, Ms Sturgeon says.
In Glasgow, it is 22 and in East Renfrewshire it is almost 19.
This compares to an incidence rate of just over 10 for the rest of Scotland.
In comparison, the local lockdown in Aberdeen was triggered by a rate of 14 cases per 100,000 population.
The first minister says she knows this will be hard but it is essential and points out she is one of the residents who lives in this area.
"I won't be able to have my family visit me at home and nor will I be able to travel to a different local authority, in my case Ayrshire, to visit them."
The threat of Covid has not gone away and she calls on other parts of the country to the guidelines in place.
No more than eight people from three households should meet indoors and that applies to pubs and restaurants as well.
Quote MessageCovid continues to be a dangerous and, sometimes, deadly virus. It is spreading again, particularly in these three local authority areas and we believe that, in these areas, it is spreading primarily as a result of household gatherings.
Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister

The only exception for that relates to extended households.
If any member of your household is identified as a close contact of someone who has covid, the whole household must now for 14 days.

Visiting care homes in these three areas will be restricted to outdoor areas only and hospital visiting will be essential only.
Those who were previously advised to shield will be advised to be extra vigilant.
More detail will be published and the restrictions will last for two weeks, with a review after one week.

Ms Sturgeon points out transmission appears mainly to be happening inside people's homes and between households.
She announces that from midnight tonight if you live in local authority areas of West Dunbartonshire, the City of Glasgow and East Renfrewshire, you should not host other people from other households in your home.
