  • The final First Minister's Questions of this parliamentary session has taken place

  • Ahead of questions from opposition leaders and backbenchers Nicola Sturgeon reported 692 new Covid positive cases, which is 3.1% of all tests

  • There are 321 patients who have tested positive (down 20) and of those 31 are in ICU, which is three more than yesterday

  • During FMQs, the first minister faced a number of questions about the Scottish government's 14-year record on education

  • Ms Sturgeon survived a no confidence vote yesterday which had been brought by the Scottish Conservatives

  • The motion was debated on the day a Holyrood committee report into the Scottish government's handling of allegations made against former first minister Alex Salmond was published

  • It found that Ms Sturgeon gave an inaccurate and misleading written account of a meeting she had had with her predecessor

  • A separate probe, by Irish barrister James Hamilton, concluded that Ms Sturgeon had not broken the ministerial code

  • The current Holyrood term, which began in 2016, comes to an end and an election for the new parliament takes place on 6 May
