    Employability Minister Jamie Hepburn says the government is committed to reducing the employment gap between disabled and non-disabled people.

    Mr Hepburn outlines some of the programmes to help disabled people into employment.

    He says the Scottish government will take a "very different approach" to employment programmes than the UK government.

    The Fairer Scotland for Disabled People, external plan includes 93 actions aimed at aiding independent living, protecting rights and improving working lives.

    Social Security Minister Jeane Freeman said 1m disabled people contribute to Scotland's communities.

    Disability groups welcomed the plan as a "positive direction of travel".

    Scottish business leaders wrote to the finance secretary calling for an increase in tax rates for big firms to be reversed.

    Thirteen organisations, including the Scottish Chambers of Commerce and CBI Scotland, signed up to the letter.

    They said cutting rates back to be in line with those in force in England would "level the playing field".

    An ongoing Scottish government review of business rates is expected to be completed by summer 2017.
