    During the first evidence session, the committee will hear from the Commission on Widening Access, taking evidence from:

    • Dame Ruth Silver (Chair)
    • Maureen McKenna
    • Professor Petra Wend

    The committee will then take evidence from the Commissioner for Fair Access, Professor Peter Scott.

    Brexit Minister Mike Russell will give a statement on the UK Supreme Court judgement on triggering of Article 50.

    Scottish Labour will then lead a debate on the budget, asking Parliament not to support it in its current form. 

    After decision time, SNP MSP Emma Harper will lead this evening's member's debate on celebrating Burns and the Scots language.
