    We are expecting First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to give a statement in four or five minutes.

    The SNP won 35 of the 59 Scottish constituencies.

    The Scottish Conservatives increased their number of MPs from one to 13.

    However, across the UK the Tories are forecast to end up with 319 seats - 12 fewer seats than when Theresa May called the election.

    In Scotland Labour went from one MP to seven and the Lib Dems go from one to four.
