    Tory MSP Finlay Carson begins with the first question about procedures Defra has put in place to work with the Scottish government.

    Mr Gove says the warmth between himsellf and Roseanna Cunningham and Fergus Ewing on an opperational level belies what you might think.

    He says he meets with devolved ministers every month to six weeks and there is rarely a cross word.

    The Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee, external and the Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee, external are discussing the implications for Scotland of the UK’s departure from the EU with UK Environment Secretary Michael Gove this morning.

    The session will focus on post-Brexit policies and frameworks for agriculture, fisheries and the environment.

    MSPs will seek clarity on funds to replace EU funding, as well as how potential common frameworks might work.

    Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee convener Graeme Dey said: "Our meeting with Michael Gove is an important opportunity to find out what we may lose when we leave the EU, and what solutions will be put in place to ensure environmental principles that underpin policy, legislation and environmental protections are not weakened.”

    Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee convener Edward Mountain said: "These industries are of huge significance to the rural economy in Scotland and it is essential that we receive clarity on how Brexit will impact them, and to ensure Scotland’s standards and systems are maintained and protected after the UK leaves the EU."

    Scotland's health secretary has quit as Nicola Sturgeon unveiled a major reshuffle of her Scottish government cabinet.

    There are five new cabinet secretaries in the first minister's expanded top team, which remains gender balanced.

    Shona Robison handed in her resignation as health secretary ahead of the reshuffle being announced.

    She will be replaced by Jeane Freeman, with Keith Brown and Angela Constance also quitting the government.

    Ms Sturgeon said the "fresh talent" being brought into her government would help "meet the challenges and opportunities facing the country in the months ahead".

    The first of the junior ministerial appointments we confirmed last night - those who were already part of the team.

    • Kevin Stewart will remain in post as Local Government, Housing and Planning Minister.
    • Joe FitzPatrick will become Public Health, Sport and Wellbeing Minister.
    • Maree Todd remains in post as Children and Young People Minister.
    • Paul Wheelhouse will take on a new role of Energy, Connectivity and the Islands Minister.
    • Jamie Hepburn will take on the new role of Business, Fair Work and Skills Minister.

    New appointments will be confirmed later today.

    MSPs get their long awaited chance to quiz UK Environment Secretary Michael Gove, albeit via video-link, on post-Brexit arrangements for agriculture, fisheries and the environment.

    The chamber will sit earlier than normal at 1:15pm to allow for a member's debate on the culture and heritage value of agriculture, led by Tory MSP Rachael Hamilton.

    Portfolio questions will see communities, social security and equalities ministers in the hot seat.

    Housing Minister Kevin Stewart will respond the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Action Group's report in a ministerial statement.

    MSPs will then debate Prescription (Scotland) Bill for the first time. This legislation deals with efforts to get people not to dilly dally in enforcing their rights.

    After that, MSPs discuss the standards committee's report on the sexual harassment complaint against Mark McDonald MSP - with a vote on the recommended sanctions at decision time.
