The showers hold on across our region this evening with some bright intervals.
Winds remain fresh for the west too. Overnight, the frequency of the showers and their intensity does tend to ease off allowing for longer dry periods in between. A cool night with lows around 5 or 6 celsius.

A new stone plaque could be erected at a famous Borders battle site, under plans submitted to the local council.

A move to four-and-a-half day weeks at schools in the Scottish Borders has left some rural children disadvantaged, it has been claimed.
Primary and secondary schools in the region have closed at lunch time on Fridays since August.
A man who was found guilty of causing a "kamikaze-like" crash which killed his friend and badly injured five others has been jailed for six years.
Ian Milligan, 52, from Dumfries, caused the crash after driving onto the wrong side of the A702, near Abington, South Lanarkshire, on 8 July 2013.
His friend and passenger, Alistair Wells, 56, later died in hospital. Five people in the other car were injured.
Milligan was convicted of causing death by dangerous driving.

VisitScotland is investing £367,000 in a "unique international marketing campaign" to put the new Borders Railway on the map.
The funding has been given to the national tourism organisation by the Scottish government, Scottish Borders Council and Midlothian Council to promote the "longest new domestic railway to open in the UK for over a century".

Queen of the South have announced the signing on pre-contracts of Robbie Thomson and Ryan Conroy.
Thomson, 22, is a former Celtic, Rochdale and Cowdenbeath goalkeeper who the club said had impressed against them last season and during his time on loan at Stenhousemuir.
Conroy, 28, had a loan spell at Palmerston in 2010 and was with Raith Rovers last season and was previously a Championship winner with Dundee.
Paul Burns, Jake Pickard and Scott Hooper have also all agreed one-year extensions to their contracts.
