BBC Wales reporter @BenjaminRPrice, external at Morriston comprehensive school in Swansea says half of sixth-form students have already collected their results.
Headmaster Martin Franklin said:
Quote MessageWe are please the percentage of A* to C grades have gone up this year and it's pleasing to see so many of our pupils getting places at university.
Overall results at Ysgol Gyfun ystalyfera are published.

Education minister's tribute to students
Education Minister Huw Lewis praises students and teachers for "another strong performance" with high outcomes at key subjects such as Maths, Further Maths and French.
He said the percentage of students achieving the very top grade had "increased yet again".
Mr Lewis, who is visiting Bassaleg School, Newport, to meet students getting their results, put it down to "a great deal of hard work".

A total of 7.3% of students got A* grades - up from 6.7% but still short of the UK average of 8.2%.
But the overall pass rate fell from 97.5% to 97.3% and Wales is lower than Northern Ireland, England and any of its regions.

Back at Coleg y Cymoedd in Nantgarw, Andrew Ioan Lee Williams said he is "so chuffed" as he is heading to St Hilda's College, Oxford after gaining three A* in maths, further maths and physics, and an A in chemistry.
