  1. People breaking socialising rules 'to blame' for north Wales lockdownpublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 30 September 2020

People ignoring rules by meeting in each others houses have been blamed for parts of north Wales heading into local lockdown.

From 18:00 BST those living in Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham will not be able to leave or enter without a "reasonable excuse" such as work or education, following a rise in coronavirus cases.

It means more than 2.3 million people in Wales will be living under restrictions from tomorrow night - with the counties following many in south Wales.

Flintshire council leader Ian Roberts said that the rise in cases was caused by "people meeting in houses".
