After returning from three months of medical leave in London for an undisclosed illness, Nigeria's President Buhari is currently working from home in Abuja.

Presidential spokesperson Malam Garba Shehu told BBC Focus on Africa radio that renovations in Mr Buhari's office are to blame.

Yesterday, President Buhari gave his first address since returning to the country from the UK on Saturday and made no reference to his health.

The president called for unity in Nigeria, and said he would renew his fight against problems such as the war against Boko Haram militants, a secessionist uprising in the east and clashes between nomadic herdsmen and farmers.

  2. Why tomorrow's elections in Angola matterpublished at 10:43 British Summer Time 22 August 2017

President Jose Eduardo dos Santos is stepping down after 38 years as president of Angola.

The main contenders for the top job are Joao Lourenco of the governing MPLA party, Isias Samakuva of Unita, and Abel Chivukuvuku of Casa-CE.

But, given his family's influence in the country, is Mr dos Santos really giving up power?

Tomorrow Angolans will decide who is going to replace their president Jose Eduardo Dos Santos after just shy of 38 years in power.

But, the BBC Africa Live page's Clare Spencer, who is in the capital Luanda, has been told that some think he isn't really letting go of power when he steps down.

That's because he is still going to be the leader of the ruling party and a law has recently come in to stop the new president from being able to sack the heads of the police, military and intelligence services.

What's more, analysts say he will rule indirectly through his powerful children. Notably, Mr Dos Santos's billionaire daughter runs the state oil company.

A Kenyan single mother has taken to the streets of the capital, Nairobi, with a huge banner in search of a husband.

Dressed in a white dress similar to a wedding gown, 28-year-old mother-of-one Pris Nyambura holds a banner in the air which bears the words:

''Need For A Husband, I Have a Girl Child Seven Years Old."

I have tried calling her to find out more about her story, but the line is busy...

A court in Uganda is expected to sentence six suspects today on terrorism charges.

The suspects are among 14 people arrested during investigations into the killing of Muslim clerics in 2014.

The court has however not linked them to the murder of the Muslim leaders.

The head of Uganda's Shia community, Sheikh Abdu Kadir Muwaya, was among those killed.

He was shot dead on Christmas Day in 2014.

Three days later Sheikh Mustafa Bahiga, a leader of the Tabliq sect, was also shot dead.
