    A popular singer in Senegal is in jail awaiting trial after she shared an audio recording on WhatsApp in which she is alleged to have made disaparaging comments about President Macky Sall.

    Amy Colle Dieng’s lawyer, Cire Cledor Ly, has confirmed to BBC Afrique that his client is being held in jail.

    Ms Dieng, a well-known singer in the local Mbalax style, is said to have shared the content in a WhatsApp message group for supporters of Karim Wade, the son of former President Abdoulaye Wade, currently exiled in Qatar.

    The final results of Kenya's elections are still being confirmed. Raw polling station data published directly online puts incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta comfortably ahead, external in the race for the presidency, but these provisional results still have to be verified and Kenya's Human Rights Commission has said that analysis of electoral forms show some errors.

    Opposition candidate Raila Odinga has alleged that the electoral commission computer system was hacked and an algorithm installed to rig the result. He provided computer logs as evidence:

    The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission said it was investigating these allegations, but sought to reassure the public that a system was in place which would prove the veracity of the final result.

    Among his concepts are a light detector which senses if a room is illuminated or not, so that blind users know when to turn the lights on.

    With just over 5,300 followers so far, Medhi hopes to grow his YouTube presence and attract financial investors who can help make his ideas a reality.

    He is also active in politics, serving as an MP in Morocco's Children's Parliament in the capital, Rabat.

    Six Red Cross volunteers were killed in an attack on a health centre in south-east Central African Republic on 3 August, the aid organisation has said.

    Civilians and medical staff may also have been killed, Reuters news agency reports, without giving further details.

    South Africa's main opposition Democratic Alliance says it will push for parliament to be dissolved and for early elections to be held.

    The announcement comes a day after the scandal-hit President Jacob Zuma narrowly survived a no-confidence vote in parliament.

    Mr Zuma is due to step down after general elections in 2019.

    The Tunisian security forces say they've killed two suspected Islamist militants in an ambush in a mountainous area near the Algerian border.

    One of those killed is said to have been a senior commander in a group known as Okba Bin Nafaa, which has links with al-Qaeda.

    Last week, the UK government praised Tunisia for its work on improving security at its airports and holiday resorts.

    In 2015 dozens of tourists were killed in jihadist attacks in Tunisia.

    A former assistant minister in Kenya is battling it out with her son for a parliamentary seat.

    Beatrice Kones is the governing Jubilee party's candidate for Bomet East in western Kenya, while her son, Kevin Kipngetich Kalya Kones, is fighting the seat for the Chama Chas Mashinani (CCM) party.

    Ms Kones told The Nation newspaper, external:
