From today until 9 January you'll see banners at the Camp du Roi crossroads, the Grange, Southside, and Queen's Road with the message that even a "quick drink" can result in a "three year hangover".

Last year 863 vehicles were stopped and 19 people arrested.

The drug, known as pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, is described as a "game-changer" by experts.

Advocates of the drug say it saves lives, money, has the power to prevent transmission, at well as helping to begin the end of the HIV epidemic.

The Committee for Health and Social Care says it will consider the use of PrEP locally next year.

After 36 speeches on the issue - ranging in length from a few minutes to over an hour and 20 minutes the president of Education, Sport and Culture will this morning sum up debate.

The vote will then take place on whether to stick with the resolution of the assembly back in March when it decided to scrap the 11-plus from 2019.

Deputy Paul Le Pelley and his political board have vowed they will accept this morning's decision - whatever that is - and work up the options and a proposal for the way to deliver secondary education into the future.

Daragh McDermott, from JT, said: "All traffic is being carried with a limited amount of spare capacity and the level of disruption has been minimal but the situation is far from resolved and we remain on high alert."
