Guernsey FC were beaten 3-2 by mid-table Horsham at Footes Lane. The Greens Lions still haven’t quite done enough to secure their survival in the division.

They went into the game knowing a win would guarantee they avoided relegation from Ryman League Division One South.

Dom Heaume put Guernsey ahead early on, but the visitors led 3-1 before Ross Allen’s late consolation strike.

Sam Cochrane was sent off for as second yellow card.

Elsewhere, Chatham Town’s win means GFC must wait at least another week to guarantee safety.

  17. Deputy proposes tax relief for smaller vehicles in Guernseypublished at 08:12 British Summer Time 10 April 2017

    BBC Radio Guernsey

The deputy who's started a campaign to deter motorists from pavement surfing says re-introducing motor tax, with incentives for drivers with smaller vehicles, could help reduce the problem.

A recent operation by Guernsey Police resulted in two drivers being issued with fixed penalty notices and another six being cautioned.

Deputy Peter Roffey says introducing a tax for large people carriers could entice people to buy smaller cars, which are easier to use on Guernsey's narrow roads.
