A politics lecturer believes Guernsey's referendum outcome - in favour of island-wide voting - will signal a move towards party politics.
Dr Chris Pich says the attention should now turn to the implications of the outcome, which he claims was hardly touched upon before or during the election campaign.

Condor has cancelled its high-speed sailings today and tomorrow because of Storm Callum's strong winds and big waves.
The ferry company says the forecast conditions are outside safe operating limits.
Passengers are being offered alternative sailings or their money back.

Repairs to Jersey's roads could cost £70m over 10 years, according to Infrastructure Minister Kevin Lewis.
Since 2014, the amount spent on roads has continued to decline - from about £3m in 2014 to £2.7m last year.
Mr Lewis says while more money for roadworks has been set aside in the 2019 budget, much of it will be used up on road repairs.
