- President Joe Biden has offered his condolences to the family of Tyre Nichols and called for a "swift, full, and transparent investigation in to his death"
- He's also called for "peaceful" protests as authorities, who've reportedly been briefed on the situation in Memphis, are understood to be preparing for potential unrest over the coming days
