Witness: Remembering Daniel Pearl's murder

In January 2002 Daniel Pearl, an American journalist, disappeared after going to meet a contact in the Pakistani city of Karachi. He was investigating a story related to the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks in 2001.

Based in Islamabad for the Wall Street Journal, he and his wife Mariane were staying with fellow journalist Asra Nomani in Karachi at the time.

She told Witness about the events that followed Daniel's disappearance.
