Tinchy Stryder has begun recording the follow-up to last year's breakthrough album Catch 22.

Speaking about plans for his forthcoming third record, the rapper said: "Right now I'm on tour, so as soon as the tour finishes I'm going to get back in the studio.

"I'm so excited about this new album, all the tracks I'm recording. I feel like by the time we get ready we'll have too much to pick from."

After teaming up with Sugababe Amelle Berrabah on their number one single Never Leave You last August he says he intends to enlist the help of more collaborators this time out.

"There's definitely going to be [collaborations]. I enjoy collaborating, but I'll keep that on the low side right now," he said.

"I want to do something that you might not expect. I'm going to look into it but there are a few people I'm interested in right now so we'll see how it works out."
